Areas That We Service in Australia
Why Choose Us?
We have the knowledge, the experience, the training and the technology to provide perfect peace of mind. We have earned our reputation for excellence.
Where can lead be found in buildings, and why is it potentially dangerous?
Almost all types of house paint were manufactured with lead carbonate until regulations banning their use came into force in the 1970s. As a result, many older homes and commercial buildings in Australia still have traces of lead paint.
Over time, as the paint starts to deteriorate and peel or flake away from the walls, it can cause lead poisoning. Lead paint dust and flakes can settle in carpeting and stay there for many years. Lead poisoning may result in kidney, brain and nerve damage. Though brief exposure can still cause health issues, those exposed to lead flakes and dust over a long period are most at risk. We offer professional lead removal services to our clients in NSW and QLD.
What are SMFs, where are they used, and what conditions can they cause?
SMFs are synthetic mineral fibres. Examples of SMFs found in buildings across Australia include glass fibre and mineral wool. They have been used for many years, primarily in insulation products, both thermal and acoustic. Research has indicated that SMFs are potentially carcinogenic, although not all are classified as such today. If you are not sure what type of synthetic mineral fibres you may have in your home or whether they are dangerous, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our SMF removal experts will be happy to provide you with the information and assistance you need.
What are PCBs, and why are they considered to be hazardous?
PCBs are polychlorinated biphenyls. This category of hazardous material includes a range of chlorinated organic compounds that were commonly used up until the 1970s. They were used as lubricants and coolants for electrical equipment such as large transformers. Extended exposure to PCBs may cause liver damage, respiratory conditions, eczema and severe skin rashes. We offer a full PCBs removal service in Australia, including an initial assessment and consultation.
